ArmedK9 is a small family owned dog training business located in Zephyrhills Fl servicing individuals and their dogs across the country. We acknowledge the vast number of professionals in the dog training industry, and we know it can be very stressful researching and deciding who to trust. You may have tried different trainers, techniques, or even sought out veterinary advice from desperation to gain control and build a better relationship with your dog. We would love to have the opportunity to show you how we are different! Below is a condensed outline of our beliefs, methods, and promise to all of our awesome dog owners past, present, and future!

Methodology
ArmedK9 proudly utilizes a wide range of techniques and approaches when working with dogs from different backgrounds and behavioral issues. We acknowledge that there is no “one size fits all” to training and rehabilitating dogs. We adapt accordingly.
So what is balanced training to us here at AK9?
Finding what motivates your dog (treats, toys, verbal praise, physical praise) and utilizing that to communicate “Yes that’s good” or “Do that again!”
Observing what does NOT motivate your dog.
Evaluating what will be the most effective, humane, and fair ways to communicate to your dog “try again” or “do not do that”.

There is a running joke in the dog training industry that training dogs is actually more so training the owners. As silly as that may sound to some, it often times is reality. It is because of this we actually chose to adopt the words “coach” and “coaching” instead of “trainer” and “training”.
You see we train dogs, but we coach humans.
Canines will never be able to speak our language but we can be coached to better understand theirs.
